Did your cisco router stopped working after update with DIAG light flashing Amber?You are in the right place, follow the below steps and you will be able to get it back up:
All you need is tftp client and latest firmware bin file.
Step 1: Disconnect all the cables to the router and connect your PC/Laptop directly to router with cable in LAN Port 1.
Step 2(Windows): Goto > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings

Step 3: You should right click on Ethernet > Properties > Select Internet Protocol V4 > Click Properties Below and Set IP Address,Subnet,Gateway,DNS as follows(even if you have changed the default router subnets ip/dhcp in the router)

Step 4: Now enable tftp client in windows
Goto Control Panel >Programs > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On or Off > check/tick TFTP Client > Click OK Once the installation completes.
Step 5: Now open CMD as Administrator use the below command with bin file path in my case its located in C:\Users\User\Downloads\
Type in command prompt by updating path in the below line:
tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT C:\Users\User\Downloads\RV0XX-v4.2.3.09-20180702-code.bin
press Enter, you will get the below message when its done.
Transfer successful: 26300416 bytes in 25 second(s), 1052016 bytes/s
Step 6: Remove the IP configuration of Step 3 by selecting Obtain an IP address automatically & Obtain DNS server address automatically.
Please wait for some time(10-30 min), router should restart and back to normal.
If the DIAG light is still flashing after 10-30 min then repeat this process.
